The In-Screed Heating Cable is designed for easy installation under any type of floor. It is versatile and can be used in any room or zone, regardless of size.

This heating cable is an ideal underfloor heating (UFH) solution for new builds or extension projects. It is specifically designed to be laid into a 50mm to 100mm thick liquid or sand-and-cement screed substrate.

For optimal efficiency and quicker response times, we recommend laying the In-Screed Cable directly onto Celotex or Kingspan thermal insulation.

Alternatively, the cable can also be installed on Cement Coated Tile Backer Boards or XPS Hard Thermal Insulation Boards.

We also supply Inscreed Cable Clips for fixing the cables to 50mm or thicker insulation. Additionally, our Decoupling Mats are a popular choice among regular installers, to space the cable evenly and professionally, before the screed is applied on top.

The cable kit includes high-adhesion fixing tape and easy-to-follow instructions, which feature a formula to help you calculate the precise wire spacing for your installation.

Electric vs. Water – What is the Difference?

There is a common misconception that electric underfloor heating is significantly more expensive than its water/gas counterparts. However, this is not always the case.

In-Screed Cables are highly efficient when controlled correctly and installed on Thermal Insulation Boards.

Unlike water-based heating systems, which are typically regulated by an air sensor from the thermostat, electric heating should always be controlled by a Floor Sensor.

This setup allows the In-Screed Cable to be more efficient and responsive, reaching the desired temperature much quicker than underfloor water heating or radiators.

The In-Screed Cable can be used as a comfort or secondary heat source, helping to take the chill off the floor during colder months while working in tandem with radiators.

Alternatively, it can serve as a primary heat source when 90-100% of the available floor area is covered with Loose Wire or In-Screed cables.

Like the loose cables that are embedded in self-leveling compounds (instead of screed), the spacing of the cables dictates the output per square meter (M²).

The In-Screed Cable can be spaced as closely as 70mm within your concrete substrate, providing approximately 260W per square meter (M²).
