Foil Underfloor Heating Mat
The Foil Underfloor Heating Mat is an innovative, energy efficient UFH solution, perfect for under Laminate & Wood flooring.
It can also be installed under lower-profile ‘Click’ floors, like Vinyl, LVT, and Amtico, that has the underlay attached. The mat uniquely conducts heat below the final floor, harnessing its foil casing making it super responsive, whilst providing uniform heat distribution throughout.
The Foil Underfloor Heating Mat doesn’t need to be embedded in an adhesive or latex like the 150/200w R-Mats or Loose Wire Cables , or most water UFH heat systems.
Rated at 150w/sqm, we offer the largest range of sqm sizes in the UK, with our largest Foil mat being 12sqm – 0.5m in width x 24m in length.
On rooms/zones larger than 12 sqm, more than one mat can be installed.
Highly Recommended With This System:
XPS Insulation Boards (LVT/Vinyl flooring) , Impact Plus Insulation under Laminate or Wood flooring.
The foil heating must be laid on a solid and level sub floor. We can supply a two-part Self Levelling compound (used to level floor beneath the insulation) before UFH system is installed.
The Importance Of Insulation
The Foil Underfloor Heating Mat is very easy to install, positioned ‘floating’ beneath the final floor, with no need to embed in a self-levelling compound.
The Foil heat mats should never be laid directly onto a concrete or wood subfloor. Without the correct insulation installed, the response time and the warranty of the heating could be affected.
The Foil mat is safe to be installed in Bathrooms and Wet Rooms, when installed beneath Waterproof flooring.
Under Laminate or Wood, 6mm Impact Plus Insulation should be laid, before the Foil mats are installed on top.
If looking to raise the floor height to accommodate thresholds, an additional layer of 6, 10, 20 or 30mm XPS Thermal Boards can be installed beneath the Impact Plus Insulation.
Under rubber-backed lower profile click floors (LVT/Vinyl/Amtico) only the XPS Thermal Boards should be installed.
